Pompidou Center

Must See

My dear readers,

I am pleased to share with you, today, a museum that I like very much, the Pompidou Center.

Created by Renzo Piano and Richard Rogers, the Pompidou Center is a marvel of 20th century architecture, recognizable by its outdoor escalators and huge, colorful pipes. It houses the National Museum of Modern Art.

The Pompidou Center is a must for cultural visits in Paris.

The building is located in the heart of Paris in the Marais district, a few wing beats of Notre Dame and the liveliest areas of Paris.

You can enjoy one of the most beautiful views of Paris and observe the Eiffel Tower, Montmartre, Opera Garnier... This is a typical Parisian place, unique in the world.

It is now difficult to imagine Paris, especially the Marais without this huge building with primary colors that sits in its center.

"Beaubourg" hosts the largest collection of Modern Art in Europe, not to mention the world, only the MoMA of New York can compete.

Remarkable

Although the building was controversial at the time of its construction in the 1970s, today it is a recognized center of art and culture all over the world.

Built at the request of President Georges Pompidou to create an original cultural institution in the heart of the capital, it now houses the best of modern and contemporary art.

You can admire a remarkable collection of modern art with works of great names such as Picasso, Matisse or Soulages, as well as contemporary art achievements from 1960 to the present that we owe to artists as famous as Nikki de Saint Phalle, Klein, or Warhol.

As for events, the Center regularly hosts temporary exhibitions, but also concerts and conferences.

It is one of the richest museums of modern art in the world. It covers all areas of creativity, from painting to architecture, photography, film, new media, sculpture and design.

Dear readers, I leave you with this quote from the famous writer, Eugene Ionesco: "The work of art is not the reflection, the image of the world; but it is in the image of the world. "

See you soon!
