ARCHITECTURE, THE FACE OF THE CITY

Architecture is an art, and it is omnipresent in the streets of Paris. From the iconic Eiffel Tower to Notre-Dame, via the Louvre Museum, there is not a place in the capital where there is not a small architectural marvel, the creative expression of a knowledge and the economic and social influences of a given era. What a joy to be able to roam the streets, to move from one neighborhood to another and see a panel of unique and breathtaking monuments.
But what happens when one of these architectural works - in this case the Grand Palais - requires renovation?
RENDEZ-VOUS IN 2025
120 years after its creation, the Grand Palais is entering a new stage in its history. Major renovations began at the end of 2020, forcing the historic monument to close its doors. They will restore the glass windows, roofs, decorations and sculptures, and will restore the building to its original architecture while thoroughly modernizing it.
In order to continue to host the major cultural and artistic events of the capital, the City of Paris has decided to build a Temporary Grand Palais, which you can visit during your next stay with us.
Just as the hotel Le Marquis celebrates the Dandy's Art de Vivre, the Temporary Grand Palais is an ode to beauty, art and elegance; and it is in this exceptional setting, designed by the architecture firm Wilmotte & Associés, that the 2024 Olympic Games, the next editions of the FIAC, Taste of Paris and the highly awaited Fashion Week will take place.
We can only recommend you to visit and appreciate the architecture of this temporary monument, while waiting for the spring of 2025 to celebrate the new identity of the Grand Palais.
